About

Who writes this, and who pays for it

Both questions matter more than they usually get asked, so here are the answers before anything else.

Who

Pieces are published under The editors. We do not put individual names on them because the arguments should stand or fall on their reasoning, not on who made them. Every claim is one you can check.

How it is paid for

Institutions pay us when a student enrols through the network this site belongs to. You pay nothing. No institution pays for coverage here, and no piece has been commissioned or reviewed by one.

That arrangement creates an obvious pressure, so it is worth saying what we do about it: the pieces that argue against spending money — against a second master’s, against paying a premium you will not use, against believing placement claims — are the ones we would drop first if we were optimising for revenue. They are still here.

Why the pieces take a position

Neutrality is cheap and, in this subject, actively unhelpful. Everyone considering an online MBA can already find a page listing options. Very few can find one saying which option is worse and why.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us and we will change it and say that we did. Regulations move, fees move, and a publication that never corrects itself is not being careful.

What this site is not

Not a university. It awards no qualification, conducts no examination, and is not affiliated with the UGC, AICTE, AIU or any statutory authority.

Autonomous institutes

Disclosure: IICT and IIPM, Lucknow

These pieces take positions, so it matters where they are written from. We run an autonomous management programme with two institutes in Lucknow, and none of the pieces here pretend otherwise.

IICT — Indian Institute of Commerce and Trade

IICT Business School, Lucknow — usually written IICT Lucknow — has run autonomous management programmes for over 30 years. The IICT MBA is a two-year programme across 30+ specialisations, taught by distance and online, with admission by profile review rather than an entrance test. The complete fee is ₹32,350, paid to the institute directly.

IIPM — Indian Institute of Pharmaceutical Marketing

IIPM Lucknow specialises in pharmaceutical marketing and pharma business management — sector-specific management education that university syllabi rarely cover. The IIPM MBA runs on the same model and the same ₹32,350 complete fee.
